Our four legged employee is by far the most popular. Leroy Brown is a 5 year old American Dingo Mix, and comes to us from the wonderful Ada County Humane Society in Boise, ID. Leroy loves everything about his job here at Berardinelli, especially showing off his numerous tricks for yummy treats.
Leroy didn't always have it so easy though. As a wee little guy in his first year of life, Leroy is believed to have had a wonderful human who affectionately called him "Lee Lee." We know a lot of attention was lavished on Leroy during this time because of the amount of tricks he knew when he came to us. Unfortunately, Leroy's first owner was elderly and died when Leroy was about 1 year old. This experience devastated Leroy and he went through the grief of loosing his person. This time in his life was made harder by his next family who did not understand his grief and the behavioral issues it caused. With this family Leroy began to fear certain people and behaviors and it is believed that his particular fear of loud younger adult men, as well as brooms, canes and anything "stick-like," developed. Fortunately, this family surrendered him to the Humane Society, which is where we found him.
It was soon discovered that Leroy had a variety of issues that needed love and patience to work through, and we have plenty of that for him. He has been with members of Berardinelli's staff for 3 and a half years and is getting better every day. He is smart as a whip, loyal and loving to the ends of the earth, and goofy as they come. He still gets frightened at times, has a hard time dealing with fast moving people and is not particularly fond of hugs, but his experience with grief has given him an uncanny ability to pick out people who are having a tough time and just lend his support by being present. If you feel his presence at your side, or his head on your feet, it's his way of saying "I know you are hurting. I've been there too, and I'm here for you."

With over 18 years working with the public in some way or another, Danielle has fine-tuned her public relations skills making her transition from Ambassador and Receptionist to Office Administrator easy. She has been part of the Berardinelli Family for over 4 years
and enjoys what she does.
Having three children, she has become an active part of our community. She was a former board member of the Santa Fe National Little League, and an active member of Communities In Schools She also tutors reading and language arts at Nava Elementary, and is a "team mom" for numerous teams her children are on. On top of all of this she is a supporter of First Serve New Mexico, and the Santa Fe Humane Society.
Funeral Service Assistant
Deanna moved to New Mexico from New York five years ago after "just coming to visit," much like every other transplant to this beautiful state has done. She has a Bachelor's Degree in Fine Arts from the Santa Fe University of Art and Design and is starting classes to pursue a degree in Mortuary Science beginning in the Fall. Deanna is very proud to have become a member of the Berardinelli Family, starting in 2014, and is honored to have a hand in helping all of the families in the community who pass through our doors. She is excited to learn as much as she possibly can from the inspiring, compassionate staff here at Berardinelli so as to extend her contributions to this field.
