Rufina Roybal, age 89, a resident of Pecos, passed away peacefully on September 26, 2017 surrounded by family. She was born in Glorieta, NM on February 29, 1928.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Julian Roybal Sr.; grandson, Davy Quintana Jr.; granddaughters, Darlene Quintana, and Lorraine Gonzales; parents, Luis and Petra Gonzales.

She is survived by her son, Julian (Yolanda) Roybal Jr; daughters, Mary Lou (Stanley)Vigil, Frances(David) Quintana and Phyllis (Jon) Leno. 11 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, Sister’s, Florinda Blea, Della Gonzales, and Dorothy Baldonado.

She had many friends and was loved by many. She enjoyed going to the Senior Center, playing bingo, sewing, crocheting, listening to music and watching movies.

Rosary will be held at St. Anthony’s Church on Thursday September 28th at 7:00pm with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow on Friday September 29th at 10:00am.

Pallbearers are Orlando Vigil, Isaac Valencia, Joshua Rico, Julian Garcia, Matthew Montes and Darla Maley. Eulogy will be given by Antoinette Roybal.

The family would like to Thank her neighbors and Mrs. Dolores Martinez for all their help and kindness.
