CELIA R. SALAZAR: Celia R. Salazar, 91, of Santa Fe, passed away from natural causes on Wednesday November 8th, 2017. Celia was born January 4, 1926. She was the wife of Joe S. Salazar for 73 glorious years. Celia is survived by her husband Joe, her son Joe Jr. and his wife Deb, daughter Patricia, grandchildren Patrick and his wife Michelle Garrett, Sharon Garrett, Jason, Allana and Nick Cartier, great grandchildren Madison and Alina Garrett and several other Cartier family members, nephews Pete and Jerry and his wife Lois Real, and niece Margaret Rael.
Celia is preceded in death by her parents Carlos and Fedelina Rael, son Carlos “Sonny” Salazar, daughter Betty Garrett, and sister Belle Real.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Rosary at the St. Francis Cathedral on Thursday November 16, 2017, at 10:00 a.m. to be followed by Funeral Services at 10:50 am. Burial will be at the Santa Fe National Cemetery at 12:45 pm.
A reception will follow at the St. Anne’s Catholic Church Gym located at 511 Alicia Street in Santa Fe.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested offerings on behalf of Celia to the Carmelites, located at 49 Mt. Carmel Road, Santa Fe New Mexico 87505.
