Chris M Cardenas

On Sunday, September 4, 2022, Chris M. Cardenas, a loving husband, father, and brother, passed away due to a short illness.

He was born in Santa Fe, New Mexico on August 21, 1955, to Manuel and Rose Cardenas. Chris is proceeded in death by his parents, Manuel and Rose, Father-in-law and mother-in-law Frank and Julia Anaya, sister-in-law Donna Anaya.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara, of 46 years and daughter Tisha (John Salazar); brothers Freddie Cardenas (Ana), Roland Cardenas (Darlene), Michael Cardenas (Corrine) and Vernon Cardenas (Robyn).  Sisters, Gloria Baca (Jake) and Florence Anaya (Ronnie). Sister-in-law Carmen Landa Griego (Ron) and bother-in-law Steve Anaya.  Special niece Camille Valdez (Frank), and special nephew Estevan Anaya; special Aunt Sally Robles. Nephews and nieces, Phillip Baca (Natalie), Jerome Baca (Ambra), Adan Cardenas, Ismael Cardenas, Tana Morrow (Brad), Maria Sanchez (Dan), Devina Baca (Josh), Daniel Cardenas (Valerie), Manuel Cardenas and Angelica Cardenas and many great nephews and nieces.

Chris was an amazing husband, father, uncle, and friend. He will be in our hearts forever.

Rosary for Chris will be held on Tuesday, September 13, 2022 at St. Anne’s Catholic Church, 511 Alicia St., Santa Fe NM at 9:00am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00AM.
