Correen Mae Najjar
May 9, 1927 ~ November 2, 2023 (age 96) 96 Years Old
Correen Passed away peacefully in her sleep after a long battle with Parkinsons.
She lived in Santa Fe almost her entire life with the exception of attending college at Loretto academy in Colorado and one year as a Med-Tech in Kansas City, Kansas.
She started teaching in 1961 splitting her days teaching science, between Harvey and Harrington Junior Highs. She began teaching full time at Harrington in 1964 where she remained until 1971 when she became a biology & Chemistry teacher at Santa Fe High and remained there until she retired from the school system in 1987.
Correen is survived by her two sons Dan and Victor and their spouses Gina and Karen, her six grandchildren: Jared, Jeff, Jennifer, Joe, Shelly and Andrew, and her two great grandchildren, Jason and Rowan, her sister in law Delores, two cousins Shirley and Phil, and numerous nieces and nephews.
In keeping with Correen’s wishes there will not be a public memorial service.
