Patrick M. Aragon went to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 8 surrounded by his loving family, after battling his second fight with Cancer. Pat was born in Santa Fe on March 14, 1945 to Manuel and Florinda Aragon. He attended St Michael's Catholic School from Elementary through High School. In 1964 he became an officer at the Santa Fe City Police Department and in 1975 became one of the first three New Traffic Motorcycle Division Officers. In 1982 he retired and became a Lieutenant at the New Mexico State Penitentiary. After 12 years at the Penitentiary he left and became a security guard at Sun West bank.
Pat is preceded in death by his brother, Andrew; father, Manuel; sister, Ramona; son, Robert; and mother, Florinda. He is survived by his wife of 26 years Rose Ortiz; Extremely special companion dog, “Princess”; son, Anthony (Roberta) Aragon; granddaughter, Larissa Sanchez; brother-in-law, Dwayne Muniz; sister-in-law, Chris (Mike) Montoya; very close cousins, Ray (Elsie) Romero, and Ninfa (Jude) Torres; very close friends, Bob Straight, and Lupe Martinez. And many other family and friends.
Rosary will be recited at Berardinelli Family Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at 7:00pm with visitation at 6:00pm. Funeral Mass will be on Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at 11:00am at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Rosario Cemetery. Reception following Burial at the Masonic Hall next to the Scottish Rite Temple.
